The Happy Hollows are a indie rock/experimental band from California with a sound like a tornado of tunes. The grungy guitar melds with the constant crashing of the high hat and gives you a sense that everything is chaotic and the roof just might fall on your head. Lead singer Sarah Negahdari has a scream that can be compared to the infamous screams of Yeah Yeah Yeahs leading lady Karen O, and she lets it loose in the song "Tambourine." The songs "Labyrinth" and "Big Bad Wolf" almost have an eighties vibe that is highly reminescent of Athens rockers, the B-52's. While they are still categorized as rock their new stuff is almost too experimental and probably caters to a smaller and more specific audience.
